Delapan belas pelajar SMAN 1 Jorong menerima beasiswa dari PT JBG

PT Jorong Barutama Greston ( PT JBG ) adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang eksplorasi tambang batu bara. Beropersai di wilayah Jorong , Kabupaten Tanah Laut, Kalimantan Selatan. Bertepatan dengan peringatan hari ulang tahun Proklamasi Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia yang ke 66 tanggal 17 Agustus 2011 PT JBG menyerahkan bantuan pendidikan / beasiswa untuk pelajar dari sekolah-sekolah di ring I wilayah Jorong, diantaranya adalah 18 pelajar dari SMAN 1 Jorong.Dengan adanya bantuan tersebut diharapkan dapat meringankan beban beaya pendidikaan bagi pelajar di wilayah Jorong dan mengurangi angka putus sekolah karena kesulitan ekonomi.
